Truly Scrumptious Banana Bread

Some people drool over candy, chocolate, ice cream or pudding (tbh I don’t know anyone who drools over pudding but you get it) but my weakness is baked goods. I can resist any chocolate thrown my way but if that chocolate is baked in something I can’t. Now it should be noted that my mother hardly baked when I was growing up. I was an older child before I started tasting homemade baked goods. My mother is amazing! She has no regrets about this and she shouldn’t because it kept us healthy growing up. But oh how I longed for baked cookies or breads on any given afternoon. I started baking on my own following recipes I got from members at our church. But it would be a long time before I really got the hang of it and still to this day I always seem to mess up a recipe. I’ve been told baking is a science, so it’s important to be precise. A skill I very much lack. With this in mind I enjoy making simple recipes that use a lot of common ingredients and which don’t require much prep or too many bowls. Today I’m sharing a banana bread recipe my sister gave me. It always comes out moist and perfect. Sometimes I lessen the amount of sugar if I’m feeling healthier and it still tastes amazing. You can use greek yogurt or sour cream interchangeably. Also I like mixing this together by hand instead of a stand mixer because it remains more moisture when it done this way. Let me know in the comments if you tried it.
